Product Information
For brighter, more radiant skin, this advanced foaming cleanser for dull skin contains resurfacing ingredients such as fruit enzymes and prickly pear to gently exfoliate, to leave skin thoroughly cleansed and renewed. Used over time, you’ll start to see a reduction in the appearance of pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles.
This enzyme face cleanser and exfoliator-in-one creates a rich lather on contact with water, without stripping the skin of moisture or causing irritation. A dull complexion can be caused by too many dead skin cells, so this uses fruit-derived AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) in the form of passion fruit, grape and pineapple extracts which work to dissolve the bonds holding dead skin cells together, for a mild exfoliating action. This also stimulates the lower layers of skin to produce new cells, so skin looks healthy and radiant. It also contains prickly pear which has been proven to remove densely pigmented cells and speed up cell turnover for a brighter and more even skin tone.
“As we age, our skin cells take longer to shed – which can make us more prone to dullness and fine lines. So regular exfoliation is so important. But rather than have to add yet another product to your routine, this enzymatic face cleanser does both jobs! I’m a huge fan of AHAs, as they gently exfoliate at a microscopic level to remove dead skin cells and to help that fresh new skin glow through! That’s why, along with prickly pear, they’re the star ingredient of this formula. This is what makes it such a great cleanser for dull skin and uneven skin tone.” – Hilary McMurray, Co-founder SKINICIAN

FAQs
FAQs
Can I use this enzyme cleanser daily?
Your skin type will determine the level of exfoliation your skin can tolerate:
If you have very sensitive skin –Please use the cleanser two to three times per week
If you have non-reactive skin (normal/combination) – You can use the cleanser daily as part of your morning or evening skin care routine
What are AHAs?
AHA stands for Alpha Hydroxy Acids. AHAs offer chemical exfoliation as an alternative to physical exfoliation and work to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells so they can be removed for a smooth, glowing complexion. Learn more about AHA's
Can AHAs be used with retinol?
If you do not have sensitive skin you can use AHA's and retinol together in your skincare routine. However we would advise that you observe what your skin can tolerate, as use of both ingredients together could lead to dryness and irritation. If your skin can tolerate both ingredients, we would recommend either alternating them on different days to help your skin build tolerance or using the Enzyme Cleanser in the morning and retinol in the evening.
Are AHAs good for acne?
AHAs are known as one of the best categories of acids for acne prone skin as they are mild exfoliants that reduce the appearance of post-acne pigmentation and remove pore-clogging debris such as dead skin cells and excess sebum. Incorporating our Enzyme Cleanser for the face with AHAs into your routine will leave your skin feeling clean and looking clearer.
Will I still need to use an exfoliator in my skincare routine if I use this Cleanser with Enzymes?
Our enyzme face wash is a multifunctional product that fits easily into your skincare regime as it cleanses the skin whilst providing exfoliation. There is no need to use a physical exfoliator alongside our Enzyme Cleanser but if you still enjoy the feeling of a physical exfoliant, we advise leaving two to three days between exfoliants.
